With melford traveling to coggleshall and melford looking to make it 5 wins on the spin. Melford win the toss and chose to batt first on what looked to be a good batting track. Melford started well nick wright and Steven Martin playing some nice shots and punishing the bad ball. Melford reached 63 before Martin was out for 24 bill Byford was next In with wright going along nicely Byford was happy to give wright the strike, wright soon got to his fifty with a few hefty blows wright soon got to 63 before he was run out . Stuart whitehart was to join Byford next but whitehart was not there for long only scoring 2. Hugh Walters was to join Byford but was not in long to as he was bowled for 0 lee Phillips was in next all so was out for 0 which brought joe Harvey in to bat Harvey soon got in to his stride with some fine shots Byford was next to go for 22
Next man in was Gareth boon with seven overs left in melfords innings boon and Harvey's task was to reach a respectable total with so many space's in the filed Harvey and boon found the gaps and were running hard and pushing the fielders with Harvey hitting some big shots he soon got his fifty boon supported Harvey well Melford finished on 197 -6 Harvey and boon got melford back on track now it was time for the bowlers to have there turn. boon soon got the ball rolling as with his second delivery he had his first wicket leaving coggleshall 0-1 James French was bowling well from the other end. boon soon had his second wicket leaving coggleshall 7-2 melford had there tales up and soon had there third wicket boon now had his third a good catch from Steve Martin leaving them 35-3 boon soon had to stop bowling due to injury which then saw Stuart whitehart with a ball in to his hand French was still bowling well but with no luck he did not get his rewards nat muth was brought in to the attack and soon got among the wickets bill Byford with a fine catch coggleshall now 87-4 then whitehart the got two wickets in one over with some good bowling leaving coggleshall 89-6 coggeshall found some fight but it was short lived as Hugh Walters got is first wicket with some fine keeping from chris cleverly then whitehart got 2 more in an over which was game over for coggleshall with melford needing one wicket to clam the full twenty pts it was Walters who got the last wicket to insure melford got the full twenty pts once more it was a fine team performance from melford.
