Match report Tendering Park won the toss and elected to bat first, and they were quickly rueing that decision with both openers out without scoring. De Alwis looked as if he was going to attack the bowling before edging behind for 12. The first 8 overs from Byford and Hoadley resulted in 7 maidens, the exception 14 runs from Hoadley's first over. Henty (10)was the only other batsman to reach double figures, With Byford swinging the ball and Hoadley with pace and movement causing all sorts of problems.
