Match report Pitted against a heavily reinforced Walsham team without a first team game, Melford produced the goods despite some tight bowling and won with three overs in hand.
The star of the Walsham batting was first team player C Bryant who composed a classy 77 and pick of the Melford bowlers was Daren Bigg with 5 for 40, helped by Nat with 2 for 25 and Mike Bigg with 2 for 33.
In response Melford found the visiting bowling very tight with Ashley Forbes bowling 10 overs and taking 2 for 17. After Melford had lost three cheap wickets, the game was won by the young and old combination of the Melford team.
